Mivan secures £2bn 1 Mayfair super-prime contract
Antrim contractor Mivan has been appointed principal contractor on London’s £2 billion 1 Mayfair residential development, described as “the most exciting new development in Mayfair in over 300 years.”
The 300,000 sq ft project, spanning half a city block near Park Lane and Hyde Park, will feature 24 ultra-luxury residences with prices ranging from £35 million to over £100 million.
Residences include lateral apartments, penthouses, townhouses, and pieds-à-terre, all designed with traditional stone façades and classic detailing. The development will offer five-star hotel-style amenities, including a health spa with a 20-metre pool, concierge services, valet parking, 15 passenger lifts, and two car lifts. The extensive basement structure reaches 27 metres below ground.
Mivan, part of the MJM Group, previously delivered the luxury fit-out of The Chancery Rosewood, transforming the former US Embassy into one of London’s most anticipated hotels. Chief Executive John Cunningham said the appointment reflects confidence in Mivan’s capability to deliver projects at the very top of the super-prime market.
The nine-year project, started in 2017, is scheduled for completion by mid-2026. With a growing order pipeline, Mivan is actively recruiting senior project managers, a senior quantity surveyor, and an MEP manager to support ongoing operations.
